Director of Stakeholder Engagement Responsible for all aspects of stakeholder relationships, supporting Business Development in WA (in particular the Health and Urban Planning Programs), and directing the Communications functionThis position is integral to the achievement of the overall CRC Program objective of ensuring that the shareholders focus collectively and in harmony on the strategic objectives of the CRC.

Managed the relationships with each of the 110 participating organisations in the CRCSI as well as dealing with external stakeholders and potential new participants.Played key role in the structuring and development of the successful bid in 2009/10 for "CRCSI-2" a $160 million eight year commitment.

Primarily responsible for relationships management amongst the 100 plus participants and more stakeholders in the CRCSI. Notably this included the consortium of companies known as “43pl” for which I fulfilled a Managing Director role, but also for our two other “colleges” of Government and Research and Education. In addition I was responsible for communication channels such as newsletters, events and web presence; and the management of the Education Program.

Renewable Energy research, development and commercialisation joint venture in the CRC Program of the Australian government.ACRE was a CRC between four electricity utilities, 9 companies and 4 universities with another dozen organisations as associate members. It conducted R&D and education activities as well as having an active policy debate function; with an annual cash turnover of $3million (in kind of $8 million). I organised the bid and interview process, managing the participants through to establishing of the corporate entity and served as Company Secretary to the Board. The CRC was a pioneer of the incorporation as a company limited by guarantee.

Responsible for the establishment of links between industry and Murdoch researchers; the adoption and commercialisation of research by end-users; intellectual property advice and action; contract negotiations; and the operations of Unico, the industry liaison arm of Murdoch University.

The Select Committee reported on the role of the state government in fostering science and technology activities. I was responsible for guiding the thinking of the Committee, briefing them before and after interviews and during global fact finding missions. Almost all the Committee's recommendations were acted upon, with highlights including the move of CSIRO research personnel from Melbourne to Perth and the commencement of a WA Centres of Excellence Program by the then WA Dept of Commerce and Trade.

TechSearch as the business development arm of the University of South Australia had responsibility for promoting and seeking funds for projects based on the expertise and resources of university to the wider industrial and government community.I reported directly to the General Manager and was responsible principally for the Levels Campus with a turnover of in 1991 of some $3 million from R&D contracts, licensing IP, consulting, training, et cetera this represented a 25% compound growth since my taking on the position.
