Guided the 70-member team by channelizing their efforts towards carrying out extensive research and feasibility studies to facilitate conceptualisation of new social entrepreneurship projects that can have a social, economical and environmental impact. Conducted extensive research in ideation and implementation of a business model with major focus on waste management, healthcare and renewable energy.Initiated a pilot project aimed at addressing the problem of energy poverty in Rural villages through provision of LED lamps to the bottom of the pyramid households in rural markets that cannot afford other alternative solar lighting source due to their high cost. Helped raise 1 lakh rupees as initial funding for the project and partnered with Nuru Energy ( Technology Partners) and Pahel NGO (Implementation Partners) to facilitate smooth functioning of the project .

Enactus is an international Not for Profit organization that undertakes community outreach projects and designs social entrepreneurship models for the same. As a member I primarily worked on three projects.1. Project SattvaThe Project is an initiative to bring efficiency in India’s dairy sector and improve rural livelihoods by rearing of high yielding cattle and value addition to milk through a mutually beneficial relationship.We identified a community of unemployed women, organized them into two types of Self Help Groups, promoted a women run milk dairy farm and processing center, and provided a regular and reliable clientele by conducting intensive demand assessments and market surveys. We successfully partnered with NDRI and Arpana Services for implementation of the project.2. Project AzmatBased out of Nekpur, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh the project targeted 22 women engaged in the degrading and illegal practice of manual scavenging by organizing them into an SHG to produce and market detergent. We collaborated with Sulabh International and replaced the traditional toilets with two - pit toilets as the first step in the eradication of this practice. In the second stage we set up a small detergent making facility and provided the women with training so as to give them an alternative means of livelihood.3. Project KayakalpThe Project was initiated to provide employment to the custodians of the dwindling art form of Puppetry in India. It transformed the intent of this medium - that of entertainment, to education, which through behavioural change communication in diverse fields ranging from sanitation, gender equality, climate change, road safety etc - gave a new dimension to puppeteers to make a livelihood.
