After university, I started my career working in five-star hotels. I learned so much and gained skills and experience working within two of the biggest hotels in India. It was also extremely difficult to work within hospitality during a two year long global pandemic, which taught me how to be resilient during times of uncertainty, work with autonomy when hotels were having to operate with skeleton staff and to be creative to help find ways to keep the hotel open when everyone was instructed not to leave there home. It was during this time that I worked within the marketing department, trying to utilise our other channels such as email and social, to advertise home delivery while customers couldn’t come to the hotel. It was whilst working within marketing, that I found a new passion for this type of role and really want to pursue my career within this sector.After getting married and re-locating to UK to live with my wife who is from London, I wanted to change my career path and looked to pursue a role within marketing. I started working at findingaplace.com part time, as they are a small local start up and have enjoyed every part of my role. I have learned so much in the 14 months that I have been here, gaining experience of multiple systems and developing my analytical skills that I'm eager to expand and move to a larger company and pursue marketing as a full time role.
