Here as an MIS Specialist I had to fulfill the following responsibilities:# Ensure development/ customization and operation of web-based MIS system and database (MS SQL Server, Web Access, SharePoint) to maintain the performance and GIS data of about 0.7 million beneficiaries.# Analyze performance and spatial (GIS) data to develop visual reports and interactive dashboard by using complex query, data modelling, and BI applications (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).# Develop android-based data collection tool in ODK for different internal assessments; maintain data flow and data quality, data cleaning & transforming, statistical analysis, and provide data for technical report writing.# Ensure data validation process, data quality and integrity check, and cleaning of submitted report by the private partners and ensure uploading into database on time.# Provide periodic (monthly/quarterly/annual) reports and respond to ad hoc requests from HQ, project managers and technical colleagues for real-time monitoring of implementation.# Work closely with M&E team to provide the disaggregated data for indicator reporting to USAID as per Performance Indicators Reference Sheet (PIRS) of RDC.# Build capacity of technical and other project staff, partners, and stakeholders to collect M&E and GIS data, data insert into MIS system, and navigate, use and storage of data.# System maintenance, backing up database and applications, as well as ensuring the integrity of the information.

Social Development Foundation (SDF); an autonomous and ‘not-for-profit’ organization established by the Government of Bangladesh, under the Ministry of Finance, had been implementing the innovative “Nuton Jibon Livelihood Improvement Project (NJLIP)” with financial assistance of GoB and World Bank. Here as Deputy Manager-MIS, I had to perform the following tasks:# Ensuring and confirm the proper software solution (SDF-MIS and Loan Management System (LMS)) for the project by analyzing and scrutinizing the requirement. Manage and monitor vendor for supplying the software solution. # Act as the focal person of SDF to ensure development, management and field implementation of SDF-MIS consisting of 5 modules and Loan Management System (LMS). The LMS captured beneficiary profiling, and loan information of more than 0.5 million beneficiaries.# Lead and manage MIS team, ensuring that staff are managed, trained, and motivated to meet the objectives of using MIS of organization and project.# Maintain the MIS & LMS and contribute to prepare different reports in user friendly formats (Charts, Graphs and Interactive dashboards) as directed by the management by creating complex query and using BI tools.# Ensuring proper implementation of the software solution at different levels (Head office, Region, District and Cluster level).# Assist to develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development.# Monitoring and improving database servers performance, system optimization, error log, event log, transaction log, and application performance (queries, indexing etc.).# System maintenance, backing up database and applications, as well as ensuring the integrity of the information by implementing security measures to be adhered to by all users within the organization.# Controlling privileges & permissions to database users, maintaining user accounts, and profiles.

The LMS captured beneficiary profiling, and loan information of more than 0.5 million beneficiaries. # Work closely with M&E team to provide periodic (monthly/quarterly/annual) and different ad-hoc MIS reports to support reporting requirements and real-time monitoring of implementation.# Maintain MIS and LMS and prepared final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.# Develop data collection tools and provide adequate direction, supervision, and support to the project team for data collection and management.# Assign role-based access permission to the MIS users considering module, workstation, department, features, and user level.# Manage and provide training to the data entry operators (80) of SDF-MIS and SDF-LMS (community members-2500) and provide support to the data users to use and navigate data.# Ensure system maintenance, backing up database and applications, monitoring and improving database & application servers' performance (queries, indexing etc).
