    • Discovered the functioning of RGS7 protein in modulating central GABAB signaling leading to mechanical pain sensation in transgenic mice.Actively involved in studying patient mutations in G protein signaling pathways leading to dementia. Also involved in discovering early behavioral and peripheral biomarkers for abnormal G protein signaling in Alzheimer’s dementia in transgenic murine models.• Discovered the central role of R7BP and GNAO protein in atopic dermatitis and several other models of itch and pain signaling pathways. Analyzed the cellular and molecular basis by which R7BP regulated Kappa opioid receptor activity at molecular and cellular level to control itch and pain signaling.• Designed the molecular construct to create a CRISPR Cas9 mediated R7BP knock out mice to understand itch and pain signaling in Central Nervous system.• Collaborated with other scientists for drug discovery project on anti-itching compounds.• Established and analyzed Ca2+ mobilization assays in response to ligand receptor signaling in cultured sensory neurons.• Trained several junior scientists, delegated work and analyzed different data to streamline projects related to Central Nervous system disorders.
