Reread my About here and realizing I wrote it something like 10 years ago back when I launched Ideal Calibrations. What is a "results-oriented business professional" anyway? Different times back then it seems. I've launched two companies:Ideal Calibrations, which calibrates, repairs, and consults on gas detection equipment on one side and blends and manufactures calibration gases on the other after the acquisition of Ideal Gases, my father's company, when he retired. I spend my days as President of this small business, trying to organically grow us to the big leagues. Advice for how to make it is always welcome.Diversity Reporting solutions, which I launched with Jaymie White and Chris Obsniuk to address the mess that was supplier diversity spend reporting. Our most notable achievement there, aside from getting large automotive companies to take us seriously in our 20s, was working with the MMSDC to launch the UniTier platform from Supplier.IO. I've since exited the supplier diversity scene, but made a number of lifelong friends and partners who I thank every night before bed for giving a bunch of kids a chance to make a difference.Experience-wise, I'm all over the board, but I focus on gas detection science, web development, business tracking systems (workflow management, process and quality recording, accounting systems integration, shipping and order automation), and calibration gas stability.Notable things I've done include the Pentane vs Methane calibration gas video that's in use in one or two technical trainings from the major gas detection manufacturers (check it out here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5Nw-BttPx4), development of the Ideal Gas Blending program (calculates gravimetric and partial pressure mixes while tracking quality and serial numbers for disposable/refillable cylinders used for calibration standards blending), and filing for a few patents on gas detector calibration technology (https://patents.google.com/?inventor=James+Robert+Moore those aren't all mine, but mine are included there).I tried to make a list thanking all of the people who answer my incessant questions and have made my dream of owning a business and solving problems for a living a reality, but LinkedIn told me I have a few thousand too many characters written. Know that I thank all of you each day and will forever be grateful for all the help you've given me. I'd be flipping burgers without you all.
