An experienced digital marketing professional with over 20 years of private and public sector experience in the management and delivery of digital marketing channels and campaigns. Started his career at IFS New Media in 1999, an agency whose clients ranged from the internationally recognised charity War Child to the UK national carpet retailer Storey Carpets. He was an integral part of the team that developed the world's first online e-commerce website for carpet sales.In 2001 used his initiative to develop an e-Commerce business Studentstep.com Ltd; a unique commercial concept for knowledge sharing to help bridge the gap between academia and industry. In 2003 Jason was headhunted by Fat Frog Design where he was given a pivotal role helping to transform the services and culture of the agency to deliver digital services.After working in the creative industry he joined One North East in 2005 as the web and e-business co-ordinator. He oversaw the development of over 20 websites for the promotion of regional tourism highlighted with the winning of a digital marketing award for visitnortheastengland.com in 2008.He switched roles in 2009 to become the inward investment marketing specialist where he led on the national marketing group for promoting England's RDAs at the Shanghai World Expo 2010.In 2011 Jason led the digital team at NewcastleGateshead Initiative to promote the destination through innovative digital channels like www.geordielandmap.com and drive new commercial digital opportunities.In May 2013 Jason made the national five person short list for The Economist Change Ambassador Award http://www.changeambassadors.com/shortlist.html. He led the digital specialist team at Northumbria University to deliver customer centric experiences through the use of data driven innovative and personalised digital channels.
