I am an outside sales representative for the US residential and commercial market leader in solar PV and sell to EPCs, distributors, installers and integrators across the Upper Midwest.

Led solar module, inverter, racking and energy storage sales to installers, integrators and EPCs across 10 Midwestern states and Canada for a nationwide solar energy distribution arm of Sunrun, the nation’s largest residential installer. More than doubled territory sales while maintaining top-tier gross margin and customer satisfaction results. Led the Sales Team in 2019 revenue growth and set monthly sales records.

Led Midwest direct module and three-phase inverter sales efforts for a Top 3 global solar manufacturer across a ten-state territory. Closed 54MW in module sales in sixteen months. Led Q2 2016 Direct Sales into commercial and utility scale projects.

Sold residential PV systems to end customers (B2C) for a regional solar integrator operating in Minnesota and Illinois. Led organization in sales, close and retention rate and project completion in residential sales into Vote Solar’s Solarize Chicago group buy program.

Provided quantitative decision-making support to iconic NGO’s nationwide Quit Coal campaign through analysis of public health, environmental and financial data. Led the transition of the campaign from public pressure on individual coal plants to the holding company levels of Edison International, GenOn and Duke Energy to secure plant closures and open doors for clean energy. Devised a workable plan to save North Carolina ratepayers $108bn, reducing GHG emissions, improving public health and reducing risk to corporate shareholders, as supported by Ventyx (ABB) modeling. Testified in front of the North Carolina Utilities Commission as part of the Commission’s Duke Energy Integrated Resource Plan review.

Founded sustainability consulting firm focused on sustainability plan development, GHG inventory and renewable energy program management. Served as Executive Director of the Illinois Solar Energy Association. Performed GHG inventories for the States of Illinois and New Mexico. Developed sustainability plan for the City of Highland Park, Illinois.

Through Recolo, won on-site engagement as Executive Director, Illinois Solar Energy Association. Led day-to-day operations of a statewide 600-member as organization first Executive Director. Generated five-fold increase in grant funding, secured ISEA’s first multi-year State grant. Launched a pioneering renewable energy aggregation initiative for residential systems. Doubled the number of business members and set single event attendance records by introducing networking events and entrepreneurship curriculum.

Led a broad array of high profile renewable energy, GHG mitigation and utility oversight initiatives for the Chicago Department of Environment. Led $6.7m solar thermal procurement, installation and economic development program that brought solar thermal manufacturing to Chicago and reduced emissions at City facilities. Secured $800k in grant funding and installation cost matches by conceiving and administering a citywide grant program to provide renewable heat to senior facilities, low-income housing and laundromats. Led the development of the conceptual framework, GHG inventory and assembly of public and private sector stakeholders and experts of the Chicago Climate Action Plan, one of the nation’s first and largest plans. Completed the first audited municipal GHG inventory in the US and represented the City on the Chicago Climate Exchange Offsets Committee. Conducted oversight of electric and gas utilities to promote service reliability and strategies to reduce and avoid service disconnection.

Provided in-house energy expertise to support the issuance of State-supported bond issuances for clean energy projects and related State policy of 5% renewable energy by 2010 and 15% by 2020. Represented the Authority on the Governor’s Energy Cabinet and authored Authority’s comments on the State’s pivotal 2001 Energy Plan, which was codified as the Illinois Resource Development and Energy Security Act and led to the State’s Renewable Portfolio Standard. Provided recommendations on wind power incentive plans designed to meet the State Renewable Policy.

Provided general administrative support to a green architecture firm.
