Senior Research Engineer
CurrentI have been working in the research and the standardization of wireless packet communication system including 802.11 WiFi, 802.16 WiMAX and 3GPP LTE and LTE-Advanced. My current research interest includes the resource scheduling and picocell/femtocell deployment issues such as interference coordination on the cellular systems for LTE-Advanced and beyond. I have published papers in the area of packet scheduling, interference coordination, wireless QoS management, seamless handover, multi-hop relay, load balancing for 802.11, 802.16, LTE, LTE-Advanced networks, in the context of picocell and femto-cell as well as traditional macrocell. I contributed many technical proposals to 802.11 and 802.16 standards and planning to contribute to 3GPP LTE Release 11.In addition, I had a chance to experience R&D strategy planning, when participating in the planning of R&D strategy toward WiMAX and Super 3G (LTE). I was also involved in the business planning for Japanese WiMAX license.
