Quadrupled attendance of health council meetings and increased stakeholder participation geographically. Leveraged multiple relationships and opportunities to create uncharacteristically immense value with an annual budget under $5,000. Utilized by the Southwestern Health Promotion Office of the NM Dept. of Health to mentor new health council coordinators, was asked to present to regional health council coordinators due to success. Coordinated and facilitated collaborative efforts among public, private, and nonprofit groups and organizations to meet the wellness needs of Hidalgo County through Hidalgo County Health Council. Worked directly with the community to improve access to health care, reduce disparities in health status, assist state and local governments in developing healthcare policies, and advocate for the medically underserved.

Implemented evidence-based adventure programming with environmental strategies to prevent and reduce youth substance use in Hidalgo County. Mentored and supervised two program staff, two custodial staff, and over 20 volunteers. Led youth and community outreach program of a church of 600+ weekly attendees. Led Celebrate Recovery, a drug and alcohol recovery program of 40+ average participants (120+ the duration of my service), 15 volunteer leaders, directly working with probation and correctional departments. Annually planned and managed 3-5 community events with a collective attendance above 700.
