Bentley Systems creates software for some of the largest infrastructure projects on the planet. My role is focused on building teams and leading experts who assist our users to help them achieve their goals and expand their capabilities with Bentley applications.

The Autodesk Knowledge Network is the largest aggregation of help and how-to content offered in ten languages for the Autodesk community. My role was focused on providing product direction, program management and content strategy while working directly with Autodesk’s customers, sales and channel organizations. I provided policies and requirements which help maximize the value of support, training, and help-related content developed from these organizations and users to be available on a global scale. Evangelism presentations at international conferences, partner events and on social media platforms. The goal with Autodesk's Knowledge Network is to serve customers the right content at the point of need and find answers as quick as possible to keep them productive. June 2020 recorded AKN's one billionth page view since it's inception in 2014.

Created Autodesk's first Sr. Technical Partner Manager role. Worked with Autodesk's channel partners to educate and expose the technical talent and related resources available to enhance their product sales, support, training and consulting offerings. Technical liaison to Autodesk's channel to assess their needs and provide feedback to internal developers. Consistent collaboration with Autodesk's partner managers, sales, consulting and product support teams. Led Autodesk's annual Americas Technical Academy (now One Team Extension) from 2012 to 2014 to provide training to Autodesk's channel technical staff.

Senior Technical Sales Manager for North America aligning technical experts with the needs of sales staff across all industries that Autodesk serves. Hiring and mentoring of top talent for their career growth. Promoted and supervised two first time managers to lead two teams of technical employees that are comprised of many of Autodesk's best technical subject matter experts. Role focused on Autodesk's channel partners and their knowledge on products and industries to close business with both in-person and virtual assistance.

Frontline was a virtual technical sales team dedicated to providing rapid responses, quick and accurate answers and in-depth webcasts to reach technical closure in the sales process. This team was created during the recession to continue contact with customers with less travel. I consolidated diverse product and industry technical sales experts as a remote team focused on collaboration which was available to all of Autodesk's North American account representatives. Product responsibilities included Revit, Civil 3D, Inventor and many others. Recognition of staff skillsets, expansion of their product capabilities and ongoing training was crucial to the success of Frontline.

Assigned team lead role in 2004 and promoted to Geospatial Technical Specialists Manager in 2005. Managed a team of GIS and infrastructure experts at Autodesk. Scheduling, prioritization, coordination and allocation of technical resources to pre-sales environments. Hiring subject matter experts directly from the industries that Autodesk serves. Consistent collaboration with product support, consulting and product management teams. Interaction throughout Autodesk to assist in the company's direction in the geospatial marketplace in a time with fierce competition. Achieved GISP Certification.

Started Autodesk April, 1999 as a GIS Applications Engineer in a pre-sales technical role. Performed Autodesk software demonstrations to customers, aided in account discovery, supported trade show events and provided feedback to product managers for evolution of software applications. Required detailed product knowledge, presentations skills and industry awareness. Focus on electric, gas, water utilities and government accounts. Role evolved from a channel partner focus to one of Autodesk's first direct sales teams to enterprise accounts. Awarded Autodesk Application Engineer of the Year Award in 2004.

Hired to Southeastern Reprographics in September of 1994 as a GPS mapping technician. GPS data collection included poles, powerlines and electric substation footprints for Rural Electric Cooperatives, Municipal and Investor Owned utilities. Extensive field work included GPS data capture with Trimble equipment in challenging rural and urban environments. Real time differential correction and post processing techniques were employed to increase accuracy. External hardware devices, such as laser rangefinders, were also used for hard to reach features. As our client base grew, so did the volume of data and coordination necessary to capture, return, edit and verify the collected datasets. My role evolved to manage multiple field crews that were performing this data capture. I coordinated the placement of field crews on certain jobs, the workflow of data in and out of the office, hardware maintenance and related training on hardware and software.

Mapping technician for Jackson EMC, one of the largest electric cooperatives in North America. Performed digitzing, data editing, merging, importing and exporting of mapping and engineering datasets. Required detailed knowledge of electric distribution facilities. Some field verification required to increase accuracy of overall mapping system. Collaboration between antiquated mapping systems and a migration to Integraph's FRAMME. Performed customization of user interfaces, testing and quality control during roll out new technology. Interaction with vendors and local engineering firms for data capture and processing.

Role as a CAD technician on Architecture, Engineering and Construction projects in the southeastern region of the US. Designed subdivisions, roads and related utility infrastructure. Created and revised maps and CAD drawings derived from survey data using AutoCAD and related third party applications. Early exposure to Eagle Point and DCA.

GPS / GIS Technician working on a variety of government projects staffed by University of Georgia students and interns. Majority of GPS work was for Forsyth County, GA on Trimble hardware. Duties included inspection and verification of historical geodetic monuments and acquisition of high precision data from landmarks which resulted in over 1000 new survey points that were ultimately incorporated into the County's GIS. Also aided in a comprehensive tax assessment project for Cobb County, GA using Sun workstations on Unix. Performed raster to vector editing of hardcopy maps for use in a digital environment. ESRI's Arc-Info software used for the GIS platform.
