Vp, Grid Services Market Development

Santa Monica, Ca, Us

In this role, I led development of Swell Energy's grid services utility contract pipeline from opportunity identification through contract negotiations and execution. I led a small team and cross-collaborated with with other parts of Swell's business to design complex and detailed proposals for the development of VPPs. This resulted in more than 15 different utility engagements and contracts worth an estimated $50M of contract value across three US states (CA, HI, and NY) for Swell harnessing upwards of 620MWh of energy storage capacity worth approximately $860M. I also engaged broadly with national organizations (DOE, RMI/VP3, WoodMac) and regulatory markets (HI, NY, and CA) to further the growth and promotion of VPP markets. For example, I was a key contributor to VP3's VPP Flipbook (https://rmi.org/insight/virtual-power-plant-flipbook/).
