Assistant Critical Facility Manager (Acfm)
CurrentThe ACFM is responsible for overseeing the safety, risk mitigation, and operations of critical environments within our data centers. You will ensure that all electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life safety equipment is operating at peak efficiency. The ACFM will serve as a key technical resource, reporting to the Critical Facilities Manager (CFM) and collaborating with government support personnel and third-party vendors. -Manage a rotating shift of qualified and trained operators to monitor, control, and update all system control applications, ensuring smooth operations. -Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operator aids, and training programs to ensure operators can effectively monitor and control complex mechanical, electrical, life safety, and building control systems. -Ensure compliance with facility operating procedures, work rules, national, state, and local safety and operating codes, and regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of safety across the team and facility. -Assist in implementing and managing CMMS (Maximo) processes to schedule, track, and report MEP field emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and warranty activities. -Supervise shift operations and maintain detailed shift logs. Ensure the logs are accurate, comprehensive, and used to document any events that could impact or potentially impact the facility. -Oversee plant and substation configurations, alarm conditions, and coordinate an immediate response to investigate and resolve any issues. -Provide formal reports for events impacting the facility and ensure follow-up actions are taken. Communicate with clients during planned shutdowns or when facility conditions are degraded. -Manage complex scheduled outages and coordinate the impact of such events with clients and internal teams. -Regularly brief management on facility issues, global events, and weather systems that may impact operations.
