Born in a little town called Sibu in Sarawak, Mr. Louis Lau Puong Kiet (“Mr. Louis”) graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Western Australia in 2007. Upon graduation he came to Kuala Lumpur and joined CIMB Investment Bank Berhad in 2008 as a Management Trainee and was attached in CIMB Private Equity & Venture Capital from 2009 until 2012. He was with CMS Opus Private Equity from 2012 to 2015. During his stint in the private equity business, he was involved in various aspect of private equity, namely, fund raising, deal origination, transaction execution, portfolio monitoring and investment exit.Having passion in active portfolio & company management, he then decided to venture out in a more entrepreneurial ambition to personally invest and join the executive team via a management buyout of a publicly listed plastic injection moulding company. He joined Ge-Shen Corporation Berhad in 2015 as Head of Group Strategy & Monitoring and sat on various subsidiaries Board. During his tenure, he served also Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. The Company has transformed into a multi sites contract manufacturing company, EMS company.
