I worked as a flex security officer for one of the largest security services. My duties depended on the job site I was assigned to due to the fact that as a flex officer I was trained at multiple sites. Some of these duties included conducting patrols using the Tour Confirmation system or Securitas TrakTik, monitoring cameras for any illegal, suspicious or unsafe activities on a client property, controlling access to client sites, issuing badges to authorized personnel and responding to alarms in a timely manner.

I prepared inspection reports and corrective action notices as needed.I collected and tested mosquitoes for West Nile Virus. While at the St. Clair County Health Department I was able to complete 300 hours as an intern. During my time I shadowed my fellow co-workers in inspecting restaurants, hospitals and various food establishments for safe food temperatures, cleanliness, safe food handling practices and checking for correct certifications. I was essential in creating displays for National Public Health Week that allowed community members to see what the various departments did for the community.
