Matt is an exceptional educator, creative innovator and authentic leader. His significant accomplishments reflect an outstanding level of professional commitment and a consistent desire to enrich and improve educational outcomes for all students.As Director of Learning Technologies and ICT at St Michael’s Grammar School, Matt leads teams and projects embedding the growth mindset, complex skillset and agile toolset essential to embrace technologies within and beyond the School. This impact has extended to develop agency in others via diverse interactions such as conferences, incubator forums, online social learning and business networks.Previously the Head of Learning Technologies across Caulfield Grammar School's five campuses, Matt commenced his career in education as a Primary Years Program (PYP) classroom teacher prior to assuming pedagogical coaching and leadership roles. Matt has been recognised as both an Apple Distinguished Educator and Microsoft Innovator Educator Expert, acknowledged by ACEL with a Certificate of Excellence in Educational Leadership and was awarded an Executive Dean’s Award whilst completing a Master of Education (Information Technologies). In 2022, Matt furthered his formal study completing a Certificate in School Management and Leadership (CSML), a multi-course certificate program developed in collaboration between the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School. Matt is a strong analytical thinker and reflective practitioner. He critically examines and seeks ways to improve his own practice and supports others to do the same. His contributions to the profession and to the community are a testament to his strong work ethic and desire to serve the common good.
