Senior Business Analyst
CurrentA Product Owner within a Global Law Firm’s Technology and Innovation department, I have ownership of multiple products both software as a service and custom built, utilised by Fee Earning and Business Service team. Working with Scrum teams to develop products based on my defined vision and strategy. I was a key member of the team, my activities included backlog refinement and management, planning enabling fortnightly sprint to occur on time and to a high standard, utilising the scrum framework to deliver incremental changes to products. I was at the front stakeholder management gathering feedback and providing appropriate updates on products including relaying my decision making process. Hosting regular workshops to redefine how products can support the firm strategy, I collaborated across many business functions including Finance, Internal Legal Department’s, Marketing and all IT teams to ensure the success of the product, whilst understanding other firm strategies such as our architecture vision.As a Senior Business Analyst in this hybrid role, I undertook many activities that align with the Product Owner role, including As Is and To Be process mapping, gathering requirements in User Story format with supporting Acceptance Criteria and other documentation, including mockups and designs for Products.As my role expanded I had three Business Analyst resources support with the scope of the products I owned, leading and coaching them to ensure that all requirements were articulated to a high standard to deliver successfully within the sprint teams. Ensuring we reviewed all processes within the department with continues improvement being a key factor in my role, to enable ourselves and delivery teams to complete deliverables in a timely efficient manner.
