• Strong technical understanding of anchoring products and how they are used in construction and how they are designed in accordance with current building codes • Product Research and Development – In-house anchor testing, performance data compilation and submittal.• Assess potential application of company products and offer solutions to meet customer needs • Hold technical presentations and training seminars for design professionals related to the design of Powers products with a focus on testing details, product performance, characteristics, applications and limitations in order to achieve specification • Assist Structural Engineers with design of challenging anchor applications. Including product performance data explanation, compilation of structural calculations to submit to consulting engineers for approval• On site testing in order to certify product suitability and to adhere to specifications on some jobs, maintain documentation and filing of all test results.• Provide assistance on proprietary technical software to client • Provide technical job-site support as needed • Analyse customer feedback for future product developments • Support local sales efforts from a technical level – including jobsite visits • Develop and maintain client records.• Raising awareness of products to the market

Kingaroy

The Black Creek Diversion Channel is a $22 million dollar job. The channel is about 3.2 km in length, and typically about 30 m wide at natural surface level. Approximately 520,000 m3 of soil and rock will be excavated for the construction of the Diversion Channel. The channel includes construction of a road bridge, Services Bridge, three culverts, thirteen energy dissipation structures, rock armouring, HPDE lining, concreting, sedimentation traps, roads and re vegetation. Role and Responsibilities-Site based position at Kingaroy on a 10 day on, 4 day off DIDO roster-Quality Assurance; Created the following Work Procedures; Clearing, grubbing Topsoil, stripping and bulk Earthworks, Preload, HPDE membrane installation, Weir Construction, Energy Dissipation Structure Construction, Culvert installation, Bridge Construction, Roadwork, Concrete and Formwork, service relocation, rock armour placement and re-vegetationCreated the following ITP’s; Earthworks Prep, Excavation, Drainage installation, Earthworks embankment, Earthworks Preload, Installation of concrete culverts, Catch Drains, Electrical cabling, Rock armour, HPDE membrane, Revegetation and landscaping, service relocation, Concrete and reinforcement, Precast concrete, shotcrete concrete, piling and road constructionIn charge of the following: RFI’s, Hold Points, Lot register, NCR’s, Defect list, Testing, Specifications and all quality related reports and documentation. -Cost control of works-Planning and programming -Keeping track of daily production and meeting targets -Determined volumes of materials, equipment/plant required and consequently compiled purchase orders for materials, plant and equipment while staying within budget-Writing Major subcontracts, short form subcontracts, supply agreements and supplier comparisons-Working on Structural concrete including Main Roads Culverts

Role and Responsibilities- Site based position heavily involved with the day to day construction activities- Working 30 to 50 hours a week as a site engineer while studying and completing a Civil Engineering Degree at QUT studying full time- Quality Assurance; o individually closed off over 450 lots (Daily allocations of work which involve making ITPs) o Signing of inspections and approvals o Collecting all testing and data and compiling all paper work involved with the work to submit to the design client over 9 months while overseeing all site work- Liaising with Foremen, site staff and sub-contractors to ensure all critical work is completed on time and required testing is undertaken for compliance requirements - Solving technical and operational problems as they arose on site, fast and efficiently- Prepare technical procedures and work method statements- Organising all testing for geotechnical and concrete elements to comply with specifications and Australian Standards- Write and develop ITP’s, NCR’s and RFI’s - Determined volumes of materials, equipment/plant required and consequently compiled purchase orders for materials, plant and equipment- Created and monitored up to date permits for high risk work undertaken on site- Project planning and scheduling- Working with client and design engineers to ensure all construction work is meets functionality, design intent and statutory requirements- Taking project meeting minutes and following through on actions agreed- Conducting site inspections and task observations on a weekly basis- Being proactive and seeking to solve problems, provide alternative design solutions to maintain and accelerate progress on the project where required. Liaising and seeking approval by the Client and Design engineers on changes as necessary.- Completed practical completion and closed off project
