Neil Young – CEO and founder of ARI is an industry leader both nationally and on an international scale with regards to professionalism and integrity in the engineering sector. Starting as an apprentice 20 years ago he has developed himself into a key figure in the inspection industry.Competence is a key attribute of Neil's professionalism. Neil’s high level technical competence is validated via his Chartered Engineer status, his Level 3 qualifications in Non Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and Senior weld and pressure vessel inspection certification.His competence has been acknowledged and respected by industry with Neil holding Board of Director positions for peak bodies, Australian Institute for the Certification of Inspection Personnel (AICIP) and the Australian Institute for Non Destructive Testing (AINDT), where he has also held positions as National and WA President. Neil's international contributions cannot be overlooked as evidence of his professionalism. He was integral in brokering relationships between Australia, US and Canada with national NDT peak bodies. This is evidenced by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between countries and Neil continues to be invited as a guest of honour to their national industry events . This provides Neil with the opportunity to share successful aspects of international business within his own company.Internally Neil has demonstrated exceptional people skills through fostering a collaborative relationship with staff, leading with empathy, engaging in transparent communication and understanding individual challenges and applying individual strategies. From an external perspective Neil has a wide network of relationships with clients, suppliers and national bodies. Neil has built exceptional relationships through his professionalism, generosity of time and genuine valuing of each relationship. Neil works collaboratively with clients and has mentored his staff to working in the same model, allowing a team approach to problem solving.
