As a dedicated neuro-oncologist with a strong research background, I’m in the early stages of a career specializing in primary and metastatic brain tumors, with a particular focus on leptomeningeal disease. My dual MD/PhD training has given me a unique perspective on the complexities of cancer affecting the brain, and I am passionate about finding innovative treatments to improve outcomes for these challenging conditions. In addition to my work in neuro-oncology, I am a committed advocate for disability inclusion in medicine, drawing from my own experience living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth, a neuromuscular disorder. My advocacy is rooted in the belief that diverse perspectives in healthcare lead to better outcomes for both patients and practitioners.Recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Globus New Investigator in Stroke Award, my research on neuroinflammation and sex differences in neurobiology continues to shape my approach to cancer care. At Stanford Health Care, I am further refining my expertise in neuro-oncology, focusing on integrating clinical insights with research to develop targeted therapies.Through my clinical work, research, and advocacy, I am committed to advancing the field of neuro-oncology and ensuring that patients with brain metastases and leptomeningeal disease receive the highest standard of care, while also championing a more inclusive and supportive medical community for those with disabilities.
