Community Volunteer.With a dynamic and diverse international background being Canadian/Polish/Chilean, I am a proud graduate of the SFU Beedie School of Business, where I ranked in the top 15% of my graduating class with concentrations in Marketing and Operations Management. In addition to my academic achievements, I was also a dual-sport varsity athlete playing both American football and basketball at SFU. Right after graduating, I transitioned to the professional sports arena where I played basketball in the top league in Poland from 2013 to 2015 for Asseco Gdynia, and then in Chile for Los Leones de Quilpue from 2015 to 2016. I also represented and played for the Chilean National Basketball Team in 2007, 2010, and 2015 in South American Championship tournaments. Beyond the court, I ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding MoodMenu in 2011—a successful online food ordering service. Serving as President and Chief Marketing Officer, I forged partnerships with over 100 Vancouver restaurants, including well-known establishments like Earl’s and Browns Social House. Committed to community development, over the years I have devoted time as a teaching assistant at an elementary school, as well as coaching high school and Special Olympics basketball teams on the North Shore. Moreover, my 17-year journey as a private tutor through Crown Academy and what shifted to Zoom-Tutor during COVID reflects my dedication to education and supporting young students across various subjects and languages. My love for languages led me to learn six languages over my lifetime: English, French, Spanish, Polish, Russian, and Portuguese, each of which propelled me in my role as a former International Student Recruitment Manager at a North-Vancouver-based school Bodwell High School, which led me to travel to over 25 countries on 5 continents building partnerships with recruitment agencies, schools, and students that were interested in studying in Canada.Presently, I work as a Business Development Manager for German-based company ICEF which is the global leader in business-to-business events and services for the international education sector. In my role, I support Canadian institutions and service providers in the sector with their marketing strategies, training, market intelligence gathering, and recommending the most relevant networking events that suit their needs.
