Deputy Communications Director
Current- Manage the organization's editorial calendar. Review project task plans to determine and manage scheduling, budget, procedures, staffing and allotment of resources needed for tasks and activities.- Provide leadership to team of Communication coordinators ensuring clarity of plans and priorities developing and editing communications material in support of internal and external initiatives while encouraging team work.- Work collaboratively with other state agencies and internal departments to ensure message and materials reflect and support our brand and message, also as appropriate amplify programs and projects.- Document project management processes for programs to ensure smooth workflow process and improved performance and efficiency.- Prepare materials for use by senior leadership including, presentations, talking pieces, speeches, scripts and other key communication materials.- Launch and maintain a robust email listserv and organically build email lists to effectively share information with stakeholders and audiences regarding polices, services, plans and other remarkable content.- Develop relationships with media, craft story ideas and pitch ideas. Proficiency with AP-style writing and applying it to materials including press releases.
