Work alongside industry professionals to learn the ins and outs of a tightly-regulated Information Technology department. Take on new roles and responsibilities, rotating from team to team.IT Governance (first position; 6 months)Monitor and document execution of daily critical checks which include proactive network element status and health checks as part of normal monitoring activities. Validate that production network applications, account, and device changes are documented and authorized. Work with the records manager to perform records management identification and organization tasks.BA/QA (second position; 6 months)Assist BAQA staff to develop and document requirements, develop and execute test scripts, document results, and assist users as needed.Software Development (third position; 2 years+)Develop, test, document, and implement software solutions, with assistance of senior development staff when necessary. Assist users as needed. Primary tasks focused on maintenance and minor feature enhancement of internal data retrieval, processing, and distribution systems, including both Windows and IIS web services, and interacting with Microsoft SQL Server instances via both entity framework and directly executing SQL statements with .NET SQL libraries. Less frequent tasks involved maintaining and enhancing web applications and RESTful web APIs written with ASP.NET, including both WebForms and MVC with Razor pages.
