Streamlined fuel purchasing procedures for international fleet of 33 cruise vessels, which cut costs by an average of $55 million annually. Responsible for all fuel contract negotiations with fuel vendors on a world wide basis, vessel bunkering scheduling, route planning,logistics for port deliveries, and issues with vendors and fuel quality. Revised the accounting system for fuel purchasing, greatly improved fuelings logistics, negotiated all purchasing contracts and set up new supply chains for bunkering operations in Jamaica, St Croix, St. Maarten, Estonia, and Italy. Created and implemented new procedures for all fuel purchasing contracts and bids which created competition, disrupted regional fuel monopolies, and significantly cut fuels costs for the firm. Extensive colloboration with RCCL Accounting and Treasury departments to manage increases in fuel costs through development of improved hedge fund strategies that were more accurate than prior models. Also designed and implemented an experimental fuel program which was used on all nine of the newer diesel engine cruise vessels. The program used alternative fuels such as Light Cycle Oil (LCO) instead of diesel which resulted in greater fuel effeciency, higher energy output, reduced emissions and savings of an average of $37.00 USD per metric ton.
