Practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker.Possess 2 years of experience as a social worker. Provided services on a team with a non-profit organization. While there, built skills as a Clinical Assessor for youth and their families from the ages of four to 21. Collaborated with coworkers and other organizations; such as the Department of Social Services, the Department of Juvenile Services; and other agencies such as psychiatrist, inpatient facilities, and schools; to ensure the most appropriate recommendations were made for the youth and their families. Referred cases to outside agencies if they did not meet the program’s requirements. Presently work at the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Case Manager for the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family and Caregivers. Experience includes completing intakes and assessing if the Veteran and Caregiver meet the criteria for the program. Perform Contacts on a quarterly basis, building rapport with the Veteran and Caregiver while they are in the program. Strive to have the family feel comfortable enough to reach out to me if they need help getting connected with other services. Assist the Caregivers and Veterans in coordinating with the Veterans’ care team, to make sure the Caregiver and Veteran have all they require to live an adequate life. Experience using Microsoft Excel and CPRS (medical records system). Goal is to take on individual clients, on my own time, allowing me to provide clinical services to people in the community. Willing to learn tele-health therapy and am also looking to incorporate movement with sessions. Very active and would love to show people that movement is very therapeutic and that therapy does not have to be confined to an office setting. Interested in gaining further education to better serve the pregnant and post partum population.
