As the Director of Early College and Online Learning for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, I oversee and develop the Early College Network for students in Catholic high schools, expanding four-year college and university options for vulnerable students from low-income and historically underrepresented backgrounds. I work in conjunction with the Academic Affairs team to develop programs that partner with high schools, higher education, and philanthropy to provide opportunities, support, and impact. My leadership and management skills enable me to lead, enhance, evaluate, develop, and manage the Early College Network program, which includes integrating curricular and learning models, outreach, and marketing. I keep abreast of national trends, guiding principles, and best practices in early college/dual enrollment program development and communicate relevant information to schools and community members. Additionally, I develop a culture of accountability, manage program resources and budget, and raise awareness of the program among students, parents, counselors, teachers, and staff of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.Program development includes defining and developing a growth plan that supports schools and higher education partners in the use of best practices of online teaching, learning, student support, and program evaluation. I manage the research, development, and delivery of best-in-class, relevant, and engaging curriculum, develop strategies to support student completion of courses and earn transferable college credit, and identify and include value-added academic and social supports that lead to student achievement across the program. As an organizational leader, I support a strong team culture across the Department of Catholic Schools, work to ensure network success, and maintain a collaborative relationship with philanthropic partners, such as the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and Dan Murphy Foundation. My commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion enables me to lead and serve our most vulnerable students. My background as an Associate Principal and Vice Principal for Academic Affairs at Catholic high schools has honed my leadership, project management, and teacher growth and development skills.
