I am currently a doctoral student in the LEAD program at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I am especially passionate about training our future educators. I enjoy teaching education, communication, and English on secondary and higher education levels. I hold a current teaching license for secondary schools (English and Speech endorsements) in both Tennessee and South Carolina. I can teach Communication, Education, and English courses on the college level. I have adapted to the virtual classroom for the flexibility and safety it affords my students. When I instruct on the freshman college level, I understand the preparation my students have received in high school and ease their transition into higher education. When I teach on the secondary level, I use my experience teaching developmental writing, composition 1, and fundamentals of communication to ensure that my high school students are prepared to succeed in college. I have taught students in both private and public schools. I have taught students younger and older than myself. Not all professors have these unique perspectives that I bring to my classroom.
