In coordination with the grade-level team, I planned for standards-based instruction and included use of technology tools such as student chromebooks and a Viewboard. As part of the school’s instructional leadership team, I collaborated with teachers to plan for schoolwide intervention, make data-informed decisions, and ensure vertical alignment between grade levels. I participated in the district’s technology teacher lead program. I worked with the International Center for Leadership in Education to develop professional development sessions for staff at my school.I organized distance learning opportunities for my students during the COVID-19 pandemic. These included choice boards, synchronous instruction via Zoom, and asynchronous assignments.For 16 weeks, I mentored, observed and evaluated a new teacher candidate from Grand Canyon university.

I supervised students in various elementary, middle, and high schools in the event that the teacher of record was unable to attend work. I quickly interpreted or created engaging lesson plans and created reports to inform the teacher of student outcomes for a particular day. I worked with the Kindergarten team at Vejar Elementary School for 10 weeks. I taught a class of 26 students, attended all planning meetings, and conducted end of semester assessments. I also helped to plan and decorate for the kindergarten promotion ceremony.
