I have worked for more than 20 years on embedding sustainability into business and finance in a range of leadership roles that have bridged private and non-profit sectors. I have held a leading role in major initiatives, such as developing the GRI’s Sustainability Reporting Guidelines, leading the GRI’s entry into China, developing the client portfolio and offerings for KPMG’s sustainability advisory services in China, the creation of the NDC Partnership, and leading investor engagement at the Global Impact Investing Network. I am skilled at change management and working across global organizations and networks. Whether it has been developing the GRI’s multi-stakeholder process or introducing a sustainability function into a large organization such as KPMG, one of the keys to my success has been the ability to manage networks and lead through influence. I have a proven track record in managing functions and projects to deliver high quality results, which has also included growing revenues. Fluent in Chinese and French, I have worked with stakeholders of all types around the world and speak regularly at conferences. The field of sustainability has progressed tremendously since when I entered, but there is still much work to do. My focus is on moving mindsets from risk management to using sustainability as a source of innovation in products, business models, and understanding value.
