For the past 3 years I've been focussed on delivering user centric designs for web applications, websites and mobile apps within the car insurance industry. I have work on customer product discovery, landing pages, application journey forms, customer accounts and CMS tools. The problem to solve has frequently been to improve conversion rate removing obstacles that caused drop off. I prefer using design methods such as user interviews, empathy maps, wireframes, prototyping, user cognition tests and AB / MVT testing. The tools I have recently used are What Users Do (usability videos and interviews), UXPin, Axure, paper for prototypes, Sketch/Photoshop/Illustrator for hi-fidelity designs, Google Optimise for any testing such as A/B tests. I've worked cross functionally with Marketing and IT to help deliver the desired front end experience. My understanding of HTML / CSS helps me work closely with front end developers to support smooth implementation of designs.

Core responsibility - As a web designer my main responsibilities were to build & maintain websites, create brands and design logos and email marketing. I put a high focus on listening to clients’ needs. This is achieved through wireframing user flows to convey the functionality of a website, discussing look and feel using moodboards which lead onto graphical prototyping of websites and finally the build of websites using HTML and CSS.. Throughout the process various screen size dimensions for mobile designs were considered. Additional projects include logo or graphic creation using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. I have worked with Wordpress to create recruitment blogs for clients such as Metashift and designed a mobile app UI for London startup Brave New Talent and European Hotel Jobs.Key achievements+ Designing brands from scratch.+ Working one to one with clients.+ Mobile UI app design.+ Responsive web design.

Core responsibility - Working for a mobile first recruitment software startup, my main responsibilites were to create a brand, build an online presence, design and build web templates ( supporting mobile, tablet and desktop ), design and build a usable CMS for non technical people, building and maintaining websites across popular browser platforms and devices, provide sales materials such as; business cards, scroll event banners and marketing videos. Working in a small team remotely using agile methods such as daily scrum meetings, user stories and retrospectives.Designing the CMS involved using tools such as UXPin, Axure and Photoshop. Building the CMS I used tools such as Bootstrap ( CSS framework ), implemented BEM methodology naming conventions, TextMate for coding HTML pages, Ruby on Rails layout files and partials, Browserstack to test across the most popular browsers and devices, Adobe Edge Inspect and Chrome DevTools for debugging on browsers and devices and basic jQuery for interactive design.Key achievements+ Designed brands Three Sparks, Pocket Recruit and Adaptily.+ Designing a recruitment platform which had a mobile first philosophy and would work across all platforms and devices. Clients included Dennis Publishing, IdeaReboot, LabPros, Winter Court Consulting, CareUK, Bupa.+ Developed a CMS for users of a non technical background could easily use with minimal support.

Core responsibility - I’ve been working with a mobile first philosophy since the early days when the first generation of iPhone was released in 2007, where I designed recruitment apps that supported the mobile jobseeker for multiple platforms such as iOS and Android. I worked with Monster to design one of their first recruitment app, which was market leading in the UK. I designed apps for clients such as Pepsico, ADP, Autodesk. Blackberry, Nestle and Oracle adhering to their brand guidelines and producing award winning apps. In addition I supported the business with website design, email marketing, business cards, magazine adverts, event marketing, sales material and t-shirt design. Key achievements+ Launching one of the first mobile recruitment apps in the UK.+ Designed job aggregator website.+ Working closely with global companies.
