I am interested in roles that can combine my relationship/project skills in a scientific domain, ideally weather and climate.My scientific background has been focused on synoptic climatology and investigating weather and climate systems. I am familiar with reanalysis output, spatial data, GIS, weather/climate modelling methodologies, scripting (Matlab, Python). In additon to climate research, during my post-doctoral research I have been responsible for liaising and collaborating with a variety of researchers to coordinate field campaigns. Streamliners is a health-focused technical writing company that provides HealthPathways, an online guidance platform for health professionals across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. During my time there, I created and managed the HealthPathways Research Hub which became the single point of contact for all research-related enquiries. I also conducted outreach and research development activities to further support HealthPathways. In addition, I developed research and evaluation resources and provided data analysis support during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was also a community success manager (account manager) which has further refined my client facing skills. Prior to my academic experience, I freelanced in the media and television industries, primarily in the camera department. While this experience is not directly related to the climate science, I developed a range of useful soft skills : managing crew, working within time constraints and budgets, liaising with clients, practical problem solving and creative thinking, and working with a range of people in different environments from diverse backgrounds. The unique combination of science and media has given me the confidence and ability to convey detailed technical and broad conceptional information to a variety of audiences.
