Ballet Theatre of Ohio is a non-profit organization that provides the community with professional quality full-length classical ballets performed semi-annually at the historic Akron Civic Theatre. BTO is best known to Northeast Ohioans for producing the magical holiday performances of Nutcracker. Voted “Akron’s Favorite Holiday Show” by the Akron Beacon Journal readers, for 32 years BTO’s Nutcracker attracts the largest audience for any single event at the Akron Civic Theatre. In addition to the six annual performance of Nutcracker, BTO also has an annual Spring show that rotates with amazing performances of Cinderella, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty & the Beast.

The GriefCare Place's mission is to provide a SAFE PLACE where grievers gather together, under the guidance of trained facilitators, to educate, encourage and uplift each other throughout the healing journey.
