Part of the 1999 Graduate intake within NatWest retail banking. Intensive, instructor-led learning to create a skills portfolio including IBM mainframe programming in Assembler and PL/1. Following completion of the course, assigned to the Small Changes team - an excellent place to gain experience through exposure to a broad range of the bank's systems. I went on to work on high profile integration and migration of customer-facing applications as part of the NatWest/RBS merger.
