My goal is to be the kind of teacher that my students will remember, and not just because they learned a lot about history and science, or grew their critical and creative thinking skills, or discovered that they actually like to read and write, or enjoyed the many cross-curricular projects and field trips, or laughed at my jokes (like the sandwich-related wrong answers on challenging multiple choice questions, or the legendary Tale of the Purple Gorilla).All those outcomes are nice. But beyond that, my highest hope is my students remember me because I helped to make them better people. That's my goal, that's why I chose this vocation, and that's why I teach at an IB school.
