The Subcommittee on Responding to Child Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency (CAND) functions under the Supreme Court of Ohio’s standing Advisory Committee on Children and Families. A diverse group of professional in all areas of issues related to children and families, the Subcommittee also functions as the Children’s Justice Act Task force. CAND members also make up content-specific workgroups formed out of the core subcommittee.

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners started the process of developing the collaborative Rise Together Blueprint by asking community leaders to join a steering committee to lead this project, and they consulted with people who are themselves living in poverty. The blueprint is made up of two parts:A set of recommendations from the Rise Together Blueprint Steering Committee, and a plan of action to which the county is committed. This is the people’s plan - the commissioners and collaborative partners want you to know about it, and we welcome your feedback and ideas as we work together to reduce poverty in Franklin County.
