Lab Assistant
I, initially a volunteer, worked in the S.H.I.N.E. (Seattle Hub for Industry-driven, Nanotechnology Education) Lab. I studied the manuals & helped develop documentation, standard operating procedures, & trained others on the lab's:Aspex Explorer Scanning Electron Microscope with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy, Olympius Fluoview FV10i Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope, Bunker DektakXT Surface Contact Profilometer, NanoSurf EasyScan 2 Atomic Force Microscope, Reichert EpiStar 2560 Metallographic Microscope, Malvern Zetasizer Nano ZS Dynamic Light Scattering, Signatone S-1160 Analytical Probe Station, Lucas Labs S-302-4 Resistivity Probe Stage Manual Four Point Resistivity Probe, AST Products VCA Optima Goniometer, Technics Hummer VI Sputter Coater, Cressington 108C Carbon Coater, Fisher Scientific Isotemp 281A Vacuum Oven, Branson 2510 Ultrasonic Cleaner Sonicator.I assisted the lab by operating the instruments for industry & academic investigators probing the macro, micro, & nano properties of their samples of interest in an exciting supportive scientific environmnet. http://www.seattlenano.org/
