As a Crude and Black Oil Scheduler, I played a key role in optimizing crude and black oil processing at one of the world's largest refineries, with a processing capacity of over 1.2 million barrels per day. My responsibilities included:• Successfully managing the berthing and blending of different types of crude carriers, from very large crude carriers to Aframax vessels, to minimize demurrages and ensure continuous supply of crude oil to the refinery, which processed approximately 45 million barrels of crude oil every month.• Utilizing GECOS software to optimize crude feed blend depending on the saturation throughput of downstream units, while also managing crude inventory and preparing monthly crude processing plans to ensure timely delivery of crude blends.• Collaborating with Technical Service and Commercial teams to explore feasibility of new crude grades and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.• Managing the feed mix on a daily/weekly/monthly basis for multiple refinery units, including Fluidized Catalytic Cracker, Hydrotreater Unit, Delayed Coker Unit, and Sulphur Recovery Unit, to maintain optimal inventory levels.• Scheduling and planning for the receipt of feedstock through ships/rail/road, and managing the dispatch of products like CBFS, fuel oil, pet coke, and sulphur through domestic and export channels.• Monitoring and controlling various process parameters affecting yield and quality of streams across the refinery, as well as overseeing tank-farm operations and issuing loading and unloading plans.• Ensuring the smooth operation of the refinery and maximizing production efficiency.

• Operated and maintained Sulphur Recovery Unit, TGTU (Tail gas treating unit), Sulphur Granulation unit & Acid gas flare unit in rotating shifts, ensuring operation within SOC & IOW limits.• Troubleshot process upsets and emergencies in the Sulphur Recovery Unit and managed plant start-up and shutdown activities, coordinating with maintenance department & upstream/downstream units to achieve production targets and ensure smooth process operation.• Supervised the shift crew of Field & Panel Executives, prepared & issued work permits for maintenance jobs by conducting Task-based Risk Assessment, and revised PFDs, P&IDs, and Operating Procedures SOPs.• Familiar with Burner Management System, handling Reaction Furnace, Incinerator and Boiler.• Contributed to 3 Major CBA Shutdowns in SRU Unit involving Reactor Top half replacement, 36" CS lines replacement with SS metallurgy, Claus & CBA Condenser replacement & Catalyst replacement.
