Maintained bill of materials and supported prototype and PPAP builds. Defined GD&T and CTQ characteristics. Executed design variation analysis for the assembly to understand the impact of min/max tolerance on parameters critical for performance.• Planned and executed product and process validation/verification test plans which involved instrumenting prototypes using thermocouple, accelerometer, pressure transducers and strain gauges for data collection and post processing. Iterated the design based on learning gathered from failure modes encountered and successfully released 2D/3D detailed design of turbocharger for high volume production use.• Worked with PM, AME and ISC cross functional teams to select suppliers/plan procurement to produce new design. Interacted with global vendors (China, UK, Romania, Mexico, India); visited their manufacturing facility offshore to review process capability, design from manufacturability perspective and support Advance Product Quality Plan issues resolution to industrialize the design and meet program milestones. In this process got exposed to production issues related to metal fabrication (turning, grinding and milling), aluminum/alloy steel casting and metal injection molding process.• Supported New Product Introduction – Proposed and led Design of Experiments (DOE) to develop the control strategy for assembly process in order to achieve throughput target at the precision assembly processes with tight product specifications. Working with equipment supplier to develop and validate closed loop control equipment, fixtures and tooling for semi-automated assembly line.

• Supported the engine test cell engineers for testing the new generator engine being developed to meet the then upcoming emission norms. It involved the study of variation in emission with the change in piston crown shape and with variation in number, size and angle of nozzle holes
