Technical leadership towards resolution of complex issues during Launch with Packaging, design kick-off, open issues, design release, prototype build, root cause and others as necessary.􀁸 Plan, Assign, & Prioritize engineering activities, concept design and development of key structural and thermal components / systems.􀁸 Develop detailed component and assembly design in CAD including material selection, tolerance stacks and GD&T for product launch. Work with CAD designers in implementation of product design, drawings and revisions.􀁸 Initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECR's) for design changes and manage through the change control board (CCB) process.􀁸 Validate product robustness, durability and identify areas of structure improvement with CAE tools- structural / NVH / thermal / fatigue analysis. Coordinate CAE activities related to high voltage programs with external CAE consultants.􀁸 Work closely with testing team to evaluate performance, validate reliability, and identify root cause of failures.􀁸 Interpret and Analyze test data and report results to internal customers / management.􀁸 Identify risks early, implement mitigation plans, and communicate􀁸 Contribute to development of DVP&Rs and DFMEA. Perform Change Point Analysis (CPA) for design.􀁸 Provide engineering support during product launch at in house and out of state manufacturing facilities.􀁸 Evaluate supplier information, specifications to ensure selection of the proper suppliers.􀁸 Expand technical knowledge by attending educational seminars and conferences, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional networks.

Work on all design related activities from concept generation (liaising with headquarters, customer team and internal engineering department) to product optimization (throughout product life cycle). Create and develop new cost effective design solutions in CAD (Catia V5/ V6) that dictate the geometric form for gaining mechanical advantage.􀁸 Problem solving to tackle design issues in terms of specification requirements, product functionality and manufacturing feasibility. Perform tolerance stack analysis using Enventive on complex closure assemblies for estimation of part tolerances, travel tolerances, release/ locking efforts etc.􀁸 Provide support for attaining agreement on design details within Brose / at customer / supplier by reviewing and modifying part drawings, assembly drawings etc.􀁸 Analysis by bluelight scans and GOM software to review and understand part quality status in new condition or after durability as a part of root cause analysis and failure mode prediction.􀁸 Change point analysis between different components for cost project.􀁸 Active participation in Development Team Meetings (EAK) for design conformance according to Brose procedures / standards. Also participate in formal design/engineering reviews (A-D Checklist, DFMEA, specification review, etc.)

* Research Areas: Human Modeling, Validation and Testing with aid of Hypermesh, LS Dyna. Carrying part level simulations as part of validation process.* Working on development of 70 YO Finite Element Human model, Validation of Lumbar FE model under dynamic loading conditions.

* Assist professor in conducting lab sessions for Unigraphics-NX 9.0.* Assisting students to create 3D models and assemblies by applying fundamental knowledge of UG NX 9.0.* Grading assignments, quizzes, exams and recording scores.

• Product development of Plastic Lined Metal Piping Systems based on Process Operating Conditions.• Managing bill of materials, cost reduction, manufacturing work instructions / check sheets for products. • Preparation of Product Technical Datasheets and Assembly Drawings as per GD&T for standard and customized products using CATIA V5 and AutoCad. Preparation of part drawings for product specific dies, jigs and fixtures.• Communication with client from project initiation to inspection, testing and installation.

• Evaluation of Tender Documents and Preparation of Bid Clarification Report, Attending technical discussions with Client, Vendors and sub vendors.• Preparation of Heat and Mass Balance Diagram (HMBD), Water Balance Diagram (WBD), Design Calculations and technical datasheets for Static Equipments using OSID 118 and ASME standards, Heat Load Calculations for Air Conditioning and Ventilation Systems as per ASHRE standards and Carrier Handbook, Generating Process and Instrumentation Diagrams and Design Basis Report for Fire Fighting Systems as per NFPA rules and TAC guideline. • Product Design and Development Verification until release(DV&R) of product.• Extensive use of MS-word, Excel and PowerPoint to create various graphs, flow charts for creating customer reports.
