Summary of my current position and functions:Senior Scientist in the Structural Integrity team within the Nuclear Energy research area at VTT. I also hold the role of project manager in several VTT national and international projects. My research and development roles involve assessing the integrity of structures using NDT methods. The research work is mainly related to ensuring the structural integrity and safety of nuclear power plants, but the team's expertise is also used elsewhere in the industry.Besides contributing to advancing NDT methodologies through nationally and EU-funded projects, the team also offers applying NDT directly to the needs of industry in Finland and internationally through commercial projects. My responsibilities include project planning, research grant applications, and thesis supervision in collaboration with universities.
