After being in the education field for over 20 years, I am still excited about what I do. I feel rewarded by my work every day, especially when kids say "this is hard, but really fun!" I am hoping that the cuts in education budgets will not affect my position , but in the event that my position is jeopardized I might consider working in another area of education. I am half time at each of the two elementary schools in town. Responsible for identification and programming for gifted students. I provide challenges for advanced kids, and work with whole classes to find areas of strength that teachers can tap into. It makes my position exciting, fast paced and fun!
