Ms Leburu holds an honours degree in Psychology and two master's degrees, one in social sciences (cum laude) and the other in research psychology from the North-West University (Mafikeng Campus and potchefstroom). Her first masters research focused on the relationship between family dynamics, personality and mental health of young offenders.The second masters research explored Older persons' competencies regarding the use of mobile phones and has successfully published the paper with the international journal of gerontechnology (2018). She has presented at national and international conferences that include the Eastern Africa Conference of Psychology in Uganda, 2013; pathways to resilience in Canada, 2015 and PsySSA, 2015. She is knowledgeable with qualitative and quantitative research as well as managing projects. Ms Leburu has worked as a Research Psychology intern at Optentia Research Focus Area under the North-West University (Vaal Triangle Campus) in Vanderbiljpark. She held a research executive position in a market research company (Quest Research Services) from 2016-2018 then got promoted to an Account Manager position in 2019. She is also enrolled with the NWU- Vaal Triangle Campus as a PhD student in Psychology.
