Mehlville/Oakville - South County

Mehlville Lions Club is a non-profit Organization serving the needs of the less fortunate in the South County/Mehlville/Oakville area. We collect eye-glasses, cell phones and hearing aids to have reconditioned at a lab and redistributed to those people in need who cannot afford eye care and eye glasses. The Mehlville Lions donate funds to other charitable organizations to meet the needs of others less fortunate. A small arm of Lions International and the ROAR is mighty. Join us for a visit to one of our meetings the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, 7:00 p.m. at Fraileys Restaurant in Butler Hill Schnucks Plaza. Currently the Mehlville Lions are refurbishing a 1954 Fire Truck to be used in future Parades and community events. Projected completion is Fall, 2013.

Marketing and providing Community Outreach for all 8 communities that BETHESDA Health Group owns and operates, as well as marketing all Home and Community based services: Respite Care, Adult Day Care, Senior Support Solutions (Private Duty), Home Health Care, Outpatient Therapy & Rehab and Skilled Nursing Care. Visiting with Hospitals and physician groups to obtain referrals to BETHESDA Skilled Nursing Care and Memory Care Communities through Med A Therapy & Rehabilitation services. Building a strong professional network of associates to refer to as well.as consistant involvement in business memberships to obtain referrals. Lastly, providing education to the general public (inclusive of care-givers and aging adults) of what the levels of care are as someone is aging and the type of healthcare programs and help that is available - in laymans terms.

Insurance Agent, specializing in Medicare Managed Care Plans Home visits to older adults on Medicare who were in need of insurance review assessment and re-evaluating their health insurance coverage(s). Worked closely with Physicians and Hospitals, as well as educating the community on how Medicare HMOs work. Worked through businesses providing education of Managed Care to employees. I maintain an Agent/Broker's License specializing in Disability Income products as well as Health and Long Term Care products in Mo. and Illinois,
