I am an AWS certified Software Engineer with robust experience in large-scale distributed backend systems, cloud services, search engines, and data science in general. My expertise lies in solving real-world, high-scale problems related to low-latency micro-services, especially information retrieval, personalization, and product discovery using modern software engineering and machine learning technologies. I am currently working at Insider's Search Team as a Machine Learning/Software Engineer, building highly scalable micro-services to support search systems. My role involves developing and optimizing backend APIs, ensuring efficient data pipelines, and managing cloud-based infrastructure. I focus on delivering robust, cloud-based solutions to enhance the performance and scalability of our search technologies, all while seamlessly integrating machine learning models into production.Before joining Insider, I was a Research Engineer at Huawei's AppGallery Search Team, some of the search features I developed (such as semantic search, spelling correction, etc.) are used by 100s of millions of users with planet-scale low-latency.My tech stack includes Java (Spring Framework, AWS SDK, Tomcat, Java EE, and more), Python (PyTorch, Transformers, FastAPI, and more), Go (Echo), and a variety of tools and platforms such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Airflow, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Spark.I'm (co-)author of open source libraries x-tagger and bayesmedaug.
