In partnership with BC Hydro a new Energy Management Training program was initiated.Part of the initial industry advisory team, Monica went on to teach the Energy Basics course, the broad-based introduction to the industry.

Working in the Facilities Management and Design Branch, Monica supported the 3rd phase of a $5 million energy services contract, participated in the development of new construction design guidelines and presented a strategic plan to assist the City of Vancouver reach their bold Greenhouse Gas reduction goals.

Developed a robust project management regime for a performance contract. Improved the results of the performance contract 100 times in her tenure. Assisted the City of Winnipeg in tracking energy usage and reporting greenhouse gas emissions from their 600-facility portfolio.

A team member providing energy performance assessment to new and existing customers. Facility audits, energy measure development and occupant interviews were used to develop proposed bundles of energy efficiency measure improvements. Where possible, improvement without major capital investment was prioritized.
