Dr Manuel Sánchez-Pérez has been a Full Professor of Marketing at the University of Almeria since 2002. He earned his PhD in 1995 at the University of Valencia. He is currently a Spanish Academy of Management (ACEDE) Board member. He served in various university responsibilities, such as Head of the Department of Economics and Business at the University of Almeria, Coordinator of the Doctoral Program, Head of the Quality Office, and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business.Manuel's expertise concerns marketing strategy and consumer behaviour, and interested in research methodology. He has led several research projects from the Spanish R&D program, and has conducted several knowledge transfer projects, especially in the hospitality, services, and food industries. He has received several research awards, such as the Literati Network Awards for Excellence for the Outstanding Paper, the best article published in the Spanish Journal of Research in Marketing, the ASEDAS award, or the Marketing Trends Award for his contribution to retail marketing.He has led several research projects financed by the Spanish State Investigation Agency and has also been the promoter of several doctoral dissertations. He completed long research stays in Limburg (Belgium) and Galway (Ireland).Additionally, he has experience as an evaluator at institutional and degree levels in ANECA, AEI, AQUA, Madri+d, being since 2008 academic member of the ANECA degrees assessment Committee.
