Business consultant with focus on Management, Strategy and Commercial areas, Marcelo had his first consulting experience in 2001, when he worked as Strategic Marketing consultant in the Coatings Division of Rohm and Haas in England. Once Marcelo joined DuPont in 2005, he worked for 3 years in DuPont's internal consultancy, leading marketing and strategy development projects in different business units in Latin America. In 2015 Marcelo became an independent, full-time consultant. With a career of over 20 years in major corporations in B2B, B2C and retail segments in companies like DuPont, Akzo Nobel and C&A Modas, Marcelo has a robust experience in managing businesses of different characteristics and sizes(US$10 MM to +US$200 MM) and in taking these businesses to the next level of performance. With well established persuasion and interpersonal skills and easy access to people in different hierarchical levels, Marcelo is keen on identifying needs, dealing with crises and solving problems.Throughout his career, Marcelo had a deep involvement in the development of business strategies in big and complex companies.His mix of theoretical knowledge, experience and analytical skills has allowed him to successfully lead marketing and sales strategy design and refining in businesses in different stages of the value chain. He also has strong experience in the usage of strategic planning, new business development and innovation generation methodologies and in the implementation of management processes.Marcelo earned a BS in Economics from UFRJ, a post-graduate course in Marketing from PUC – RJ and a full-time MBA in General Management from London Business School. He has worked in Brazil, England and several countries in Latin America. He speaks fluently Portuguese, English and Spanish and has an advanced level in French. Marcelo has Brazilian and Portuguese passports.After being approved in the CFP® exam in 2017, Marcelo opened the way to another passion and started to also assist families in their pursuit for financial wellness through financial planning and advice. Marcelo got his CFP® certification in 2019, following the completion of additional requirements.
