Institute for Supply Management - Cincinnati is comprised of professionals engaged in purchasing and supply management within the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. It is one of 180 local chapters affiliated with the Institute for Supply Management (formerly know as the National Association of Purchasing Management) headquartered in Tempe, Arizona.Founded in 1915, ISM has over 44,000 members. Advise individuals on current job search tools necessary to secure employment, i.e., cover letters, resumes, networking groups, etc.

Managed the procurement of materials, equipment, MRO supplies and outside services from suppliers at the lowest cost with consideration of quality, reliability of supply and urgency for assigned suppliers. Maintained adequate inventory levels for all consumable materials used to manufacture end product. Initiated RFIs and RFQs. Negotiated pricing, terms and deliveries. Facilitated audits of supplier quality management systems. Submitted quarterly and yearly ratings on performance to key suppliers used to evaluate and improve supplier performance.
