Currently, I am Chief Clinical Officer of Coordinated Behavioral Health Services (CBHS), which is an independent practice association. CBHS is comprised of 29 community behavioral health and disability service providers serving seven counties in the Hudson Valley. CBHS agencies serve over 65,000 people a year comprising a complex population primarily covered by Medicaid or Medicare. The primary role of CBHS is to support our member agencies in providing cost-effective, outcome-based, and person-centered services that are increasingly necessary for the transition to a value-based payment system of care. In a leadership role at CBHS I have been part of many initiatives including the successful development of infrastructure for Home and Community Based Services, supporting communities negatively impacted by the COVID epidemic, and achieving savings in a Level 2 total cost of care value-based contract covering the lives of 12,000 enrollees in managed Medicaid. At CBHS I have helped secure funding for initiatives, overseen implementation and day-to-day operations, acted as liaison for community partners and stakeholders, facilitated numerous committees and workgroups, and helped to develop an innovative referral system and population health data analytics system.Prior to working at CBHS I worked at Hudson Valley Mental Health (HVMH) for 10 years where I worked as a clinician, Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Clinical Services, and Interim President. During my time at HVMH I worked in and managed eight mental health clinics licensed by OMH which served over 5,00 people each year in Ulster and Dutchess Counties. At HVMH I took great pride in providing quality services to the community. I also played a key role in implementing and managing projects related to electronic health records, transitions of care, integrated care, the criminal justice system, and value-based payments. In 2021 I completed my dissertation focused on evidence-based treatment for people with posttraumatic stress disorder and severe mental illness in community mental health centers and received my PhD in Social Welfare from SUNY Albany.
