A State of the Art Map of the AGVS Technology and a Guideline for How and When to use it(AGVS: Automated Guided Vehicle Systems)A technology that has been around since the 50's is now more relevant then ever. Within Industry 4.0 AGVs have a clear role to play. Reliable, efficient and safe transportation is a necessity in every material handling process. Scania had many reasons to implement AGVSs in their processes - reduce injuries, reduce damaged goods, increase reliability of their material handling etc. When new technologies had been implemented before it had caused issues such as lack of global standards and no global strategy for how the technology was to be used. Therefore they wanted to have the required knowledge about the technology before they initiated there pilot project. It was our task to map the technology and create a guideline for how it was to be used and in what processes to implement it.In addition to profound knowledge within AGVSs I retrieved a good understanding about automation and Industry 4.0.

Built a model in excel with the purpose to determine terminal utilization. The model was a first step in order to optimize their terminals capacity. Except this I did the same operational tasks as I have done the years before
